Self Intro
Hello Ladies, I'm Erika Garcia and this is my last year in the program, anticipating taking Student Teaching during the Spring. I have a BA in Psychology with a minor is Speech Pathology and my MA would be in Early Childhood extension in Bilingual. I'm Puerto Rican and Dominican, born and raised in Brooklyn. I moved to Long Island in the 8th grade and the rest is history. haha ! Since I was 15 I have always worked with children from babysitting, camps, day cares and internships. Today however for the needs of school I work in as an Executive Assistant in a broker/insurance office. Even though it is not a job working with students, its still a learning lesson if I ever want to do administrative work in a school. I have a 2 year old son, named Ariyen and engaged, planning a wedding for June. So much to do, focus on and to look forward to. Happy to meet you all !
